“It was a great movie, and I’m glad we all liked it.
Except for Mitchell. You kind of suck. Just kidding.”
Abbie Mellings, “This Movie Said ‘Slay’ and We Took It Literally”
Markus Warde
Co-host, graphic design, tech support
Markus has always connected with storytelling and has always felt a pull towards it. Working with other students and learning what it takes to make films has left him with the skills to work well with a team to make something great out of nothing. While he spends most of his time in comedy, some of the work he has connected with most are dramatic, teetering on horror or thriller. He likes to think of himself as quite flexible, and he always puts his best foot forward so that the project can thrive. He will always work as hard as he can on any project. Entertaining people, no matter how he can, is his life goal.

“I can’t go to my house, I’ll go to my neighbour’s house”.
Markus warde, “We Watched Alien and Now We’re Afraid of Literally Everything”

Mitchell Schmold
Co-host, social media manager, graphic design support
Mitchell is a guy who will watch a SpongeBob episode and leave it with a ten minute TED talk on its emotional subtext. From the cartoons that shaped his childhood to those artsy indie films full of metaphors you only notice on fifth rewatch, he’s always been drawn to the small but complex details in film and media. Working with peers and discovering the rhythm of filmmaking has shown him how collaboration can turn tiny sparks of ideas into something textured and meaningful. Mitch brings a silly, passionate energy to every project, and he cares deeply about making things that feel authentic, expressive, and delightfully strange. Storytelling, connecting through emotion, and digging for the soul of a story are the things that keep him coming back to the creative process again and again.
